During his two-day visit to Munitions India Limited unit, Ordnance Factory Khamaria (OFK), Director (Operations) Rakesh Ojha expressed optimism about a substantial increase in the annual production order for the factory. On the first day of the visit, Monday, Rakesh Ojha reviewed the ongoing production activities and assessed the factory’s production efficiency. The visit began with a high-level production meeting focused on exploring the potential for augmenting defence manufacturing at OFK. During the discussions, he laid special emphasis on strengthening research and development activities to support the future advancement of defence production. In the second phase of the visit, the Director (Operations) chaired the ‘Samvad’ programme, where he interacted with representatives of various employees’ unions and organisations.

He listened to their grievances and assured them that genuine demands would be placed before the higher authorities for consideration. He also appealed to employees and workers to contribute wholeheartedly towards the growth and development of the factory and the organisation in the service of the nation. Ojha is scheduled to chair another round of production meetings on Tuesday, which is expected to play a crucial role in finalising the annual production targets of OFK for the financial year 2026–27. During the visit, the Director (Operations) was accompanied by OFK Chief General Manager Shailesh Vagerwal along with other senior officials. According to sources, Munitions India Limited has set an ambitious annual production target of nearly Rs 24,000 crore for its 12 units across the country, with Ordnance Factory Khamaria expected to receive one of the highest production targets among all units.
