The Nag Vidarbha Chamber of Commerce (NVCC) recently organised a session on Income Tax Act 2025 at its executive body meeting at Hotel Dwarkamai. The session focused on the provisions of the newly introduced Income Tax Act 2025. The event featured Pramod Nikalje, Director of Income Tax (I & CI, Nagpur), as the chief guest. Addressing the gathering, Nikalje acknowledged that while the trading community is generally willing to pay taxes, the complexity of existing regulations often acts as a barrier.

“The Income-Tax Act 2025 has been implemented with the primary goal of simplifying these complexities,” Nikalje stated. CA Mahendra Jain, provided technical guidance to the members. He clarified a crucial point regarding the transition: the Income Tax Act of 1961 has not been entirely abolished. At the outset, NVCC President Farooque Akbani felicitated the guests while programme convener CA Ashwini Agrawal and co-convener CA Umang Agrawal introduced them. Hemant Sarda, Secretary; Swapnil Ahirkar, Vice President; Past Presidents - Srigopal Soni, Jagdish Bang, Ashwin Mehadia, Deepak Agrawal and others were present.
