In a dramatic escalation of protests against the alleged paper leaks and the subsequent cancellation of the NEET-UG 2026 examination, members of the National Students’ Union of India (NSUI) held a fierce demonstration at the residence of Madhya Pradesh Cabinet Minister Rakesh Singh on Tuesday. Led by Achal Nath, NSUI In-charge for Rani Durgavati University (RDU), protesters pasted letters and posters written in actual human blood on the walls of the Minister’s house. It may be mentioned that the NEET-UG 2026 exam was cancelled on May 12, following reports of a widespread paper leak, with the investigation now handed over to the CBI. They displayed their disappointment through slogans like ‘Paper Chor, Gaddi Chhod’ and others.

University Head, Nath expressed the deep anguish of the student community, saying that “The corrupt BJP system has crushed the hard work, sacrifices, and dreams of over 22 lakh students. Some fathers took loans, some mothers sold their jewelry, and lakhs of children stayed up all night to study, only to be rewarded with paper leaks and organised corruption.” He further criticised the Government, claiming that the ‘Paper Mafia’ consistently escapes while honest students bear the brunt of mental trauma, financial burden, and uncertainty. He termed the Prime Minister’s ‘Amrit Kaal’ as a ‘Vishkaal’ for the nation’s youth. The protesters demanded strict action against those involved in the scam and questioned the value of education if destiny is decided by ‘money and influence’ rather than ‘hard work’. Others who present included Anand Chaudhary, Johan Khan, Tanishq Thakur and others.
