Rashtrasant Tukadoji Maharaj Nagpur University (RTMNU) has created a war room to streamline result declaration system, announced Vice-Chancellor Dr Manali Kshirsagar while interacting with mediapersons on Tuesday at university’s Jamnalal Bajaj Bhavan premises. Dr Samit Mahore will oversee the responsibilities of the war room in his capacity as the Evaluation Centre Coordinator. Dr Kshirsagar said, “When I took charge as Vice-Chancellor, the new software company had started its work. I don’t know who gave contract to the company. The Winter Examinations started one-and-a-half months late for which I am not responsible. Of course I was not expected to brood over it so I took measures for streamlining it.

The Examination Department worked day and night, they did not take their weekly offs to ensure the smooth conduct of result declaration.” To ensure the smooth conduct of the Summer-2026 examinations and the timely declaration of results, the University is undertaking efforts on a war footing; to facilitate this, a dedicated ‘War Room’ has been established. Dr Samit Mahore will ensure the timely receipt of student marks by maintaining effective coordination between the heads of both evaluation centres and the designated software agency.” The war room officials will coordinate with various data formats and ‘TRs’ (Tabulation Registers) to facilitate the rapid and timely declaration of results and will see implementing correction processes identified by the scrutiny teams.

The Deans of all four faculties will discharge responsibilities such as managing the scrutiny teams; coordinating with colleges to ensure the timely receipt of student data, including marks; ensuring—through the Chairpersons of the Boards of Studies—that examiners arrive at the evaluation centers on time; establishing coordination among the scrutiny teams; and formulating Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for these teams. In the absence of the Pro-Vice-Chancellor, the responsibility for the overall coordination of the ‘War Room’ will be handled by the Registrar, Dr Raju Hiwase, and the Director of the Knowledge Resource Center Dr Vijay Khandal. Dr Kshirsagar informed the mediapersons, “The University has initiated efforts on a war footing to ensure that the Summer-2026 examinations are conducted smoothly and without any errors. 1,054 examinations are to be conducted in Summer 2026 while 944 examinations’ schedule is declared, schedules of 110 examinations will be published before May 15, results of 261 are out and of 22 examinations are to be declared soon.”
