IN one of the biggest disruptions for railway passengers in the South East Central Railway zone in recent years, the Railway administration has announced large-scale cancellation, diversion, short termination and rescheduling of trains owing to fourth-line connectivity work at Champa station from June 7 to June 19. As per Railway officials, as many as 64 express trains and 13 MEMU and passenger trains will remain cancelled during the period. In addition, eight trains will be diverted, seven trains short terminated or partially originated, while five others will run behind schedule. Among the local and passenger services, the 68735/68736 Raigarh-Bilaspur-Raigarh MEMU, 68745/68746 Gevra Road-Raipur-Gevra Road MEMU and 58203/58204 Korba-Raipur-Korba Passenger will remain cancelled from June 7 to June 19. Similarly, the 68734/68733 Bilaspur-Gevra Road-Bilaspur MEMU, 68732/68731 Bilaspur-Korba-Bilaspur MEMU, 68737/68738 Raigarh-Bilaspur-Raigarh MEMU and 58210 Bilaspur-Gevra Road Passenger will remain cancelled from June 8 to June 19. Several major long-distance trains have also been cancelled for varying periods. These include the 18113/18114 Tatanagar-Bilaspur-Tatanagar Express (June 7-19), 18109/18110 Tatanagar-Itwari-Tatanagar Express (June 8-19), 13287/13288 Durg-Ara-Durg South Bihar Express (June 10-16), 12833/12834 Ahmedabad-Howrah-Ahmedabad Express (June 11-15), 12869/12870 Howrah-CSTM-Howrah Express (June 12-14), and 22845/22846 Hatia-Pune-Hatia Express (June 12-17).
 
The cancellations also include the 20813/20814 Puri-Jodhpur-Puri Express, 12905/12906 Porbandar-Shalimar-Porbandar Express, 22905/22906 Okha-Shalimar-Okha Express, 22511/22512 Kamakhya-LTT-Kamakhya Express, 20971/20972 Udaipur-Shalimar-Udaipur Express, 22357/22358 Gaya-LTT-Gaya Express, 17321/17322 Vasco Da Gama-Jasidih-Vasco Da Gama Express, and 17005/17006 Raxaul-Hyderabad-Raxaul Express on different dates between June 9 and June 17. Similarly, the 17007/17008 Cherlapalli-Darbhanga-Cherlapalli Express, 20471/20472 Sriganganagar-Puri-Sriganganagar Express, 22829/22830 Shalimar-Bhuj-Shalimar Express, 22169/22170 Rani Kamalapati-Santragachi-Rani Kamalapati Express, 20827/20828 Santragachi-Jabalpur-Santragachi Express, 12949/12950 Porbandar-Santragachi-Porbandar Express and 20917/20918 Indore-Puri-Indore Humsafar Express will also remain cancelled during the affected period. Other cancelled services include the 22909/22910 Walsad-Puri-Walsad Express, 22865/22866 Puri-LTT-Puri Express, 20821/20822 Santragachi-Pune-Santragachi Express, 22843 Bilaspur-Buxar Express, 22844 Patna-Bilaspur Express, 13425/13426 Malda Town-Surat-Malda Town Express, 12767/12768 Nanded-Santragachi-Nanded Express, 12811/12812 Hatia-LTT-Hatia Express, 20807/20808 Vishakhapatnam-Amritsar-Vishakhapatnam Hirakund Express, 12251/12252 Yashwantpur-Korba-Yashwantpur Express, 22647/22648 Thiruvananthapuram-Korba-Thiruvananthapuram Express, 12151/12152 LTT-Shalimar-LTT Express and 18477/18478 Puri-Yoga Nagari Rishikesh-Puri Kalinga Utkal Express. Railways have also diverted several premium trains. The 12221/12222 Howrah-Pune-Howrah Duronto Express and 12261/12262 CSTM-Howrah-CSTM Duronto Express will run via Jharsuguda, Titlagarh and Raipur between June 11 and June 15. The 12101/12102 LTT-Shalimar-LTT Jnaneshwari Express will also be diverted through the same route from June 12 to June 15, while the 12879/12880 Bhubaneswar-LTT-Bhubaneswar Express will operate on the diverted route from June 11 to June 17.
