Ramdeobaba University (RBU), Nagpur, is all set to host Orange Promptathon 2026, a first-of-its-kind Next-Gen College AI Summit in India focused on empowering students to solve real-world business challenges using Generative AI and prompt engineering. Organised in partnership with Carrier, NASSCOM, and Infocepts, the summit will bring together over 600 students, along with industry leaders, faculty members, and technology experts to explore the future of AI-led innovation. The grand finale on May 15 will feature young student innovators across 23 multidisciplinary teams, presenting AI-powered solutions across domains such as energy optimization, predictive HVAC maintenance, intelligent customer experience, supply chain transformation, and smart building technologies.

 

Designed as an innovation-led experiential platform, Orange Promptathon encourages students to move beyond classroom learning and develop practical AI solutions using Generative AI and prompt engineering techniques. Speaking ahead of the event, Dr Shankar Subbanarasayya Mantha, Founding Chancellor and President of Ramdeobaba University, said, “India’s next wave of AI innovation will emerge from campuses where curiosity meets real-world problem-solving. Orange Promptathon is about giving students the opportunity, exposure, and confidence to build solutions that can create meaningful industry impact.” The event will also feature keynote sessions by Kamal Sharma, Global Connected Hubs Leaders, Carrier and Kushal Vyas, Group Captain, HQ NCC Nagpur, among many others distinguished leaders from across the industry and experiences.

 

The summit will conclude with the announcement of one winning team and two runner-up teams, recognising the most impactful AI-driven solutions presented during the finale.
