In an era where personal success often overshadows community welfare, Kishor Bawane stands out as a rare exception. Bawane has seamlessly blended his professional excellence in the cooperative sector with a profound commitment to social service, driven by a philosophy of giving back to society.
On May 15, 2015, he founded the Devta Life Foundation with the specific mission of supporting children aged 0 to 12 who are battling cancer. Guided by the motto “Support for the helpless,” the foundation has been taking care of about 35 children for the past 11 years. The foundation’s work extends far beyond medical aid.
The foundation adopts children for cancer treatment and provides educational materials to needy students. In addition, a massive campaign was carried out across 36 districts of Maharashtra aimed at collecting 100,000 bags of blood.
Bawane has recently announced the construction of a fully-equipped Cancer Care Center at Gotalpanjari.
This facility will provide free treatment for 150 children and include residential quarters for parents.
