Newly appointed Jabalpur Development Authority (JDA) Chairman Sandeep Jain chaired his first official meeting at JDA office on Friday, a day after assuming charge. JDA Vice Chairman Prashant Kesharwani was also present during the meeting. Main purpose of the meeting was to get acquainted with the departmental setup and to interact with officers and staff. Chairman Jain made it clear that the next meeting would be fully focused on reviewing development works and ongoing projects. During the meeting, Jain directed officials to prepare a detailed list of all pending works, schemes and priority projects related to city development. He said that the next meeting would decide which projects need to be completed on priority and where delays have occurred.

 

He also indicated that special attention would be given to speeding up JDA’s schemes and bringing greater transparency to all development works. The Chairman interacted with departmental officers and staff to understand their responsibilities and working procedures. Office arrangements and current projects were also discussed during the meeting. Since assuming charge, Chairman Sandeep Jain has been consistently emphasising the need to prioritise city development and clear pending projects at the earliest. In the coming days, JDA’s working style and pace of development activities are expected to see a significant improvement. All senior officials were present during the meeting.
