OPENER wicketkeeper-batter Rajeshwar Chandwani scored an unbeaten half-century to help Royal Cricket Association (RCA) move into the semi-final of the ongoing Thunderbird Under-13 Cricket Tournament at RCA’s Mecosabagh Methodist School ground in Kadbi Chowk.
RCA defeated MCA Gondia by 42 runs.
Electing to bat first, RCA posted a competitive 167 for five in allotted 25 overs.
Right-handed batter Chandwani scored unbeaten 75 runs from 76 deliveries to help RCA post the huge total.
His 125-minute stay in the middle had 12 boundaries.
Harsh Jaisinghani was the next best batter who scored 20 runs.
Gondia conceeded 26 extras including 23 wide balls. Mohil Barapatre took two wickets.
In reply, Gondia could score 125 for six in 25 overs.
Darsh Rahangdale and Moin Sheikh scored identical 30 runs.
For RCA, Kiyan Godbole, captain Aahan Wadhwani, Parth G, Mahshal Gaikwad and Anas Khan took a wicket each.
