AIIMS’ Dr Ashima represents India at Cochlear Implant Conference in Poland

Dr Ashima Saxena, Senior Resident, Department of ENT, All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), Nagpur, was invited as faculty and speaker at the 18th International Conference on Cochlear Implants and Other Implantable Technologies held in Warsaw, Poland.
 
At the prestigious global conference attended by delegates from over 120 countries, Dr Saxena delivered a talk on ‘Adult Cochlear Implantation in the Indian Scenario,’ highlighting learnings and insights gathered over 14 years from multicentric cochlear implant recipients across four centres in India. She also presented a scientific poster on the role of intraoperative radiology in cochlear implantation. The conference featured discussions on the latest advancements in cochlear implantation, including gene therapy, robotic-assisted implantation, and artificial intelligence in hearing rehabilitation.
