BALOD Collector Divya Umesh Mishra has earned national recognition after being featured among India’s Top 100 District Magistrates in the prestigious survey conducted by Fame India Magazine and Asia Post Survey Agency across nearly 800 districts of the country. She also secured the top position in Chhattisgarh, bringing pride to the State and the district administration. The recognition was awarded on the basis of excellence in governance, prompt decision-making, innovation, crisis management and public responsiveness. The survey reportedly considered public feedback and grassroots-level performance while evaluating district administrations across the country. Following the announcement, officials and employees of the district administration congratulated Mishra during a programme held at the conference hall of the Joint District Office in Balod.
 
Additional Collectors Chandrakant Kaushik and Nootan Kanwar, Joint Collector Madhuharsh, along with SDMs, Deputy Collectors, Tehsildars, Naib Tehsildars and other Revenue Department officials were present on the occasion. Speaking on the achievement, Mishra credited the entire district administration for the honour. She said the recognition was the result of the collective dedication, honesty and commitment shown by officers and employees in ensuring effective implementation of public welfare schemes and administrative responsibilities across the district. She also expressed gratitude to all officials and staff members for their continuous support and teamwork, stating that the achievement belonged to the entire district administration.
