 MOHD Umair slammed a splendid hat-trick as Golden Eagles thrashed Rising Spartans in the DRM Cup Inter-Academy Football Tournament under way at SECR Motibagh Stadium. In the Under-12 encounter, Golden Eagles defeated Rising Spartans 3-1. Umair slammed three goals in 7th, 10th and 18th minutes to escort his side to an easy win. Akshan Rawat (15th) reduced the margin for Rising Spartans. Umair was declared player of the match. In another match of the same age group, Royal Warriors thrashed Thunder Tigers 7-0. Ayushman Adhana scored a brace in 8th and 12th minutes while Abdul Rafay scored in 20th and 24th minute of play. Lucky Tagade too scored two goals for his side in 26th and 28th minutes while Rachit Chahande (5th) conceded a self goal for Thunder Tigers. Lucky of Royal Warriors was named man of the match.
 
In Under-15 age category, Royal Warriors defeated Thunder Tigers by a solitary goal. The all important goal was scored by Zidan Khan. Karanveer Singh of Royal Warriors was named man of the match. Luck favoured Rising Spartans as they recorded a narrow 1-0 win over Golden Eagles through an own goal by Mohd Zeeshan scored in 15th minute. Ansh Ramteke of Rising Spartans was declared man of the match. In U-10 age category, Golden Eagles defeated Royal Warriors 3-1. Sharji Jamal scored a brace in 10th and 18th minutes while Hayan Meshram added another in 20th. Zidan reduced the margin in 15th minute for Royal Warriors. Meshram won man of the match award. Rising Spartans blanked Thunder Tigers 2-0 with Abdul Moiz (6th) and S Jaswant (20th) finding the net. Jaswant was named man of the match.The chief guests for the day were Dr Piyush Kumar Lahare, Sr DOM, SECR, Nagpur, Sudhir Wankhede and Chandrashekhar Atram, ex-Ranji Trophy players.
