Facing persistent media queries over the allegations, Vice-Chancellor Professor Rajendra Lakpale defended the recruitment exercise and maintained that the hundred-point roster system had indeed been followed while determining category-wise allocation of posts. However, when confronted with the university PIO’s written RTI response specifically stating that no roster determination committee had been constituted and that the roster register itself was not maintained, the Vice Chancellor stated, “That information has not come before me.

 

I will have to examine why such a reply was issued by the university.” Notably, Professor Lakpale did not provide any detailed clarification regarding the allegation that the recruitment advertisement had been issued without recommendation or approval from the Executive Council despite the procedural requirement under Section 52 provisions.
