An 11-year-old boy drowned in a water-filled quarry near his residence at Pitesur on Godhani Road under the jurisdiction of Mankapur Police Station. The deceased has been identified as Abdul Sajen Abdul Razzaq (11), son of Abdul Razzaq Abdul Sattar (49).

 

According to police, the incident took place at around 2.30 pm on May 21. Abdul Sajen had reportedly gone swimming in a quarry filled with water near his home. During the outing, he entered deep water and drowned. Family members and local residents later noticed that the boy was missing and began searching for him. He was eventually found in the quarry and brought out, but his life could not be saved. Following information provided by the complainant, Mankapur Police Station registered a case of accidental death.
