The Jabalpur Municipal Corporation has created history by becoming the first Municipal Corporation in Madhya Pradesh to complete the house listing work under the national Census ahead of schedule. The Municipal Corporation completed 100 percent of the house listing work on May 19, a day before the deadline of May 20. This makes Jabalpur the first municipal corporation in the state to achieve this target. Mayor Jagat Bahadur Singh and Municipal Commissioner Ramprakash Ahirwar congratulated the entire team for the achievement. They credited the success to strong teamwork and dedicated field workers. Mayor said this is a proud moment for Jabalpur.

 

From ground-level workers to senior officers, everyone worked day and night to complete this challenging task ahead of time. Municipal Commissioner Ahirwar said that accurate house listing in such a large urban area was a significant challenge. Better monitoring and the dedication of our field staff helped Jabalpur finish first among all municipal corporations in state, he said. The achievement has created a wave of enthusiasm among officers, enumerators and supervisors who were part of the Census work. All outstanding workers were also felicitated on the occasion.
