Nirvesh Reddy slammed an excellent hat-trick as Rising Spartans thrashed Royal Warriors in the U-12 category of DRM CUP Inter-Academy Football Tournament organised at SECR Motibagh Stadium. In a one-sided battle, Rising Spartans scored goals at will to beat Royal Warriors 4-0. Nirvesh Reddy scored three goals in 8th, 12th and 15th minutes of play while Aaron Joseph added another in the 18th minute to complete the rout. Reddy was named man of the match. In another match of the same age category, Mohd Umair continued his fine run in the tournament with second successive hat-trick as Golden Eagles blanked

 

Thunder Tigers 3-0. Unstoppable Umair scored his goals in 10th, 18th and 24th minutes. He was rightly declared man of the match. In U-15 age group, Golden Eagles defeated Thunder Tigers 2-1 in tie-breaker. Md Zeeshan and Arman Adhana scored goals for the winning side while Devansh Lade reduced the margin for Thunder Tigers. Adhana was named man of the match. In U-10 age category, Royal Worriors edged past Rising Spartans 1-0 with Zidan scoring the only goal of the match in 9th minute. He was named man of the match. Golden Eagles rode on Krish Borkar’s 10th minute strike to beat Thunder Tigers 1-0. Borkar was named man of the match. Peri Rajesh Singh, Sr DEE(G)/SECR, Nagpur, Vaibhav Dahiwale, Sr DFM, SECR, Nagpur were the guests of the day.
