RAIPUR :
Under the joint collaboration of ‘MY Bharat’ and the District Administration of Dantewada, a district-level registration camp for the Pradhan Mantri Internship Scheme was successfully organized in NMDC Dantewada on Saturday. This special camp has proven to be a highly significant and impactful milestone by the Central and State Governments toward bridging the gap between local youth and the industrial sector, equipping them with excellent job-oriented, real-world professional experience.
The massive registration drive witnessed enthusiastic participation from more than 450 motivated youths arriving not just from Dantewada, but also from neighboring districts including Bijapur, Sukma, and Bastar. During the camp, applicants submitted their forms through both digital and physical channels for 142 coveted internship positions available across the Kirandul and Bacheli complexes of the National Mineral Development Corporation (NMDC).
It is noteworthy that this event marks the very first district-level registration camp of its kind coordinated between a local district administration and the central
‘MY Bharat’ team anywhere in the state of Chhattisgarh. This historic step opens up clear avenues for rural and tribal youth from remote corners of the Bastar division to gain live, practical industrial exposure at the high-tech production units of NMDC, a premier Navratna Public Sector Undertaking.
As per the scheme guidelines, the finally selected candidates will undergo a comprehensive 9-month paid internship with NMDC. As a financial incentive, trainees will be provided a one-time joining bonus of Rs 6,000 alongside an attractive monthly stipend of Rs 9,000.
This forward-looking initiative is set to act as a cornerstone in boosting skill development, fostering self-reliance, enhancing professional readiness, and strengthening long-term employment prospects for the youth of this region.
