A catastrophic road accident took place near Gahari Pakra in Gurh police station area on Rewa-Sidhi road on Friday night, which shocked everyone. A speeding bulker truck overturned on the roadside at around 2 pm late at night and caught fire. The fire was so terrible that the entire vehicle soon turned into a ball of fire. What was even tragic was, 35-year-old Brijesh Gautam, son of Chhote Ram Gautam, resident of village Dhanha, district Sidhi, was trapped in the cabin and burnt alive. The driver screamed for help, but the people were helpless before the fire. According to witnesses, immediately after the accident, huge flames of fire started rising from the bulker.
 
The driver, trapped in the cabin, continuously screamed for help. Passers-by and locals at the scene also tried to rescue him, but the fire was so terrible that no one could reach the vehicle. People stood at a distance and listened to the driver's screams, but they could not save his life even if they wanted to. The fire engulfed the entire cabin in a short time and the driver died tragically. Gurh police and fire brigade team reached the spot on receiving information about the incident. After considerable effort, the fire was brought under control, but by then it was too late.
 
After the fire was extinguished, the bulker was completely burned and the body of the driver was found trapped within the cabin. On Saturday morning, a team of police and administration cut the damaged cabin with a gas cutter machine and pulled out the body. On receiving the news of the accident, the relatives of the deceased reached the spot, where an atmosphere of screams and mourning was created. There is a wave of mourning across the region after this heartbreaking accident. Police have registered a case and sent the body for postmortem and started a detailed investigation into the causes of the accident.
