I was hoping for a shoulder
But am drinking my tears all alone
My thoughts kept me in vain
My trust was all it held.
With a few leaving me,
I won’t be stranded, I felt
But, alas! Here I am, all alone.
The long conversation no more
Words have died in my throat.
I remember someone saying,
“You talk a lot”, I want to ask,
Why does it then feel suffocating?
My words can’t find a face to trust
Alas! I am left all alone.
There was once a someone
Who would ease my pain
But now is a star, and hence,
I feel all alone.
The pain is too much to hold,
Though the tears have dried up.
Maybe a day would come when
My words would find some solace
And I won’t feel lonely afterall.
