The Jabalpur Division of West Central Railway (WCR) on Sunday inaugurated the regular operation of Jabalpur-Pune and Jabalpur-Bandra Weekly Special Trains at Jabalpur Railway Station. The trains were flagged off at a grand ceremony in the presence of public representatives and railway officials. The regular operation of Jabalpur-Pune Special Train No. 20162/20161 and Jabalpur-Bandra Special Train No. 20164/20163 will provide better and more convenient rail services to passengers. It is also expected to boost regional development and business activities. State Public Works Department Minister Rakesh Singh, Rajya Sabha MP, Sumitra Balmik, MLAs Ajay Vishnoi, Ashok Rohani, other public representatives and officials flagged of the trains.
 
On behalf of the railway administration, Divisional Railway Manager Kamal Kumar Talreja, Additional Divisional Railway Manager Anand Kumar, Dinesh Kumar Kalame, Senior Divisional Commercial Manager Dr. Madhur Verma, Shashank Gupta, along with other officials and a large number of railway employees were present. A large number of citizens, rail users, and media representatives also participated in the ceremony. Railway officials stated that the regular operation of these trains will provide passengers from the Jabalpur region with better connectivity to Maharashtra and Mumbai.
