In a bid to blend ancient heritage with modern environmental practices, the Culture Department of Madhya Pradesh, in association with Veer Bharat Nyas, is launching a grand six-day mega-event titled ‘Sadaneera: Jal Ganga Samvardhan’. Running from May 27 to June 2, at Bharat Bhavan, Bhopal, this extensive campaign aims to spark a cultural and civic renaissance centered on water conservation, river rejuvenation, and traditional rainwater harvesting. The ambitious initiative is supported by a robust network of partners, including the Indian Navy, ISRO, the MP Council of Science and Technology (MPCOST), and prominent state universities. The grand inauguration of the Sadaneera Samagam is scheduled for May 27, at 7:00 pm. Chief Minister Dr Mohan Yadav will headline the event as the chief guest, alongside special guest Dr Ishwar Chandra Das, Group Director of Earth Sciences at ISRO, Hyderabad. The ceremony will be chaired by State Minister Dharmendra Singh Lodhi and graced by prominent public representatives including MP Alok Sharma and Mayor Malti Rai.

At the core of the conclave is a series of intensive scientific and philosophical dialogues focused on the Panchmahabhoot (the five core elements of nature). Daily panels featuring top administrative, space, and environmental minds will map out modern frameworks for restoring local aquifers. Alongside these discussions, the festival grounds will host immersive art workshops under the banner of “Jal, Jungle, Jeevan”, alongside curated scientific exhibitions highlighting groundwater resources and aquatic biodiversity. Marking the academic depth of the campaign, the event will host the official unveiling (Lokarpan) of foundational research publications, including ‘Antarjalasya Yatra’, a comprehensive scientific analysis of groundwater resources compiled by MPCOST. Complementing the daytime intellectual discussions, the lawns of Bharat Bhavan will transform every evening into a spectacular cultural stage. Audiences can look forward to a grand symphony by the Indian Navy Band (Mumbai), traditional folk recitals like Malvi and Nimadi Lokgeet, and majestic river-themed dance dramas choreographed by acclaimed artists from across the country.
