ACS Barnwal, Commr, HS Dhanaraju discuss re-development plan for Medical College

A high-level meeting chaired by Additional Chief Secretary (ACS), Public Health and Medical Education Department, Ashok Barnwal and Commissioner, Health Services, Dhanaraju S, was held at Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose Medical College Hospital on Friday. The primary agenda of the visit and meeting was to review and discuss the re-development plan for the Medical College and Hospital. During the review meeting, ACS Barnwal issued strict directives to all Heads of Departments (HoDs) to ensure that the practical and functional requirements of the hospital are prioritised in the upcoming development layout. While reviewing the ongoing construction and developmental projects, Barnwal assessed the overall general arrangements of the hospital. Emphasising on innovation, he urged officials to bring innovative practices into their daily workflows to make the entire healthcare system more robust, transparent and effective.
 
Detailed discussions were held regarding medical education frameworks, teaching arrangements, and the adequacy of available manpower. The leadership also critically reviewed the hospital’s budget and related financial matters to ensure optimal resource allocation. The meeting was attended by Divisional Commissioner, Dhananjay Singh, District Collector, Raghavendra Singh, and Medical College Dean, Dr. Navneet Saxena, alongside other senior officials. Following the strategy meeting, ACS Barnwal and Commissioner Dhanaraju conducted an on-ground inspection of the newly constructed State Cancer Unit (SCI). The two senior officials evaluated the patient care facilities, infrastructure readiness, and general hospital management. They instructed the administration to leave no stone unturned in ensuring the highest quality of medical treatment and comfort for the patients.
