Sanskar Krida Mandal ‘A” (SKM) and Hanuman Nagar Krida Mandal (HKM) ‘A’ girls started with victories over their respective rivals on the opening day of the Khasdar Krida Mahotsav (KKM) Basketball Youth Championship which got under way at Shivaji Nagar Gymkhana courts on Friday. In the early round match, SKM ‘A’ girls defeated HKM ‘B’ 37-17. Charvi Bunde was the star performer for the winners with 20 points. For HKM-B, Divyanshi Lonare scored six points. The quarterwise score was 15-13, 11-4, 5-0, 6-0. In another match, HKM ‘A’s Yadvi Shirpurkar scored a match-high of 20 points as they went on to beat NASA ‘B’ 47-5 in a one-sided battle. The quarterwise score was 18-0, 14-4, 6-0, 9-1. Earlier, the tournament was inaugurated by Vinay Dani and Ashish Mukim.

HKM-A (Yadvi Shirpurkar 20) bt NASA-B (Mishti Rakade 3) 47-5 (18-0, 14-4, 6-0, 9-1). NBYS (Trisha Karki 23) bt NSCA (Shravni Bhishma 9) 41-17 (17-0, 6-10, 12-3, 6-4). SNG (Khushi Chorei 17) bt NKM 51-0 (19-0, 15-0, 9-0, 8-0).
