The damaged main drinking water pipeline on the Jai Prakash (JP) District Hospital premises was successfully repaired by the hospital administration on Thursday. This action has brought relief to hundreds of patients and their attendants who were facing a water crisis inside the complex amid the intense summer heatwave.
The hospital management had deployed its technical team to resolve the matter. The vital pipeline was ruptured on Wednesday afternoon due to the negligence of the contractor and construction labourers during drain excavation and road repair work inside the complex.
Due to this, thousands of litres of clean drinking water had gone to waste.
The repair work was initiated on Thursday morning. The technical team completely replaced and restored the damaged section of the main supply pipeline by Thursday afternoon. Following this improvement, the water supply in the hospital has now become normal.
Expressing relief over the repair work, several attendants of the admitted patients expressed their satisfaction. They appreciated that the hospital administration took cognisance of the matter and took steps to restore the water supply. The timely intervention by the administration successfully stopped the heavy wastage of drinking water inside the hospital complex.
