YASH Ahuja scored twice in the second half giving his side Eagle Football Club full points with a 4-2 win over NSA B in their U-17 Late Sardar Atal Bahadur Singh Football Championship in progress at NDFA’s Football Stadium in Suyog Nagar, on Saturday.
In fourth match of the day between NSA’ Yash Wankhede gave the team a 1-0 lead in the 26th minute of play and the scoresheet remained so at the lemon break.
Just three minutes into the second half, Tejas Wasnik (33rd) equalised for Eagle. Devanshu Bhojre (39th) restored the lead for NSA B after six minutes. Once again, Eagle neutralised it with a strike from Pranay Sawaitul (48th).
Then came the brace from Ahuja, who scored his goals in the 50th and 54th minutes to kill the match.
Wankhede was named Man of the Match.
Rabbani FC also came back twice to record a narrow 3-2 win over Vision FC. For the winners, Md Sabban (24th), Man of Match Abdul Raheman (41st) and Md Irbaz (53rd) found the target.
For Vision, Samuel Francis (14th) and Sahil Samundre (34th) were the scorers.
Akshay Pande’s (59th) late goal gave Nobel A a 2-1 victory over Ekta FC. After a goalless first half, Nobel A’s Soham Band put the team ahead in the 37th minute. The joy was short-lived as Md Frazain fired in the leveller in the 40th minute. In dying moments, Man of the Match Pande found that match winner.
In only draw of the day, Shree FC and Hafiza FC took home one point each in a 2-2 verdict.
Hafiza FC led 2-0 at half-time with twin strikes from Harsh Uttanchamdani (13th, 23rd).
Shree came back in the match with a second half brace from Akash Khandekar (38th, 43rd). Uttanchamdani was declared Man of Match.
