Dr Hemant Sharad Pande, CMD, Western Coalfields Limited (WCL), was conferred with the prestigious “Digital Transformation Leader of the Year” award at the 11th PSU IT Forum & Awards ceremony organised by Governance Now in New Delhi on Friday. The award was presented to Dr Hemant Sharad Pande by Member of Lok Sabha, Anurag Thakur. Dr Pande was honoured for his visionary leadership and outstanding contribution in promoting digital transformation, good governance, transparency, and a technology-driven work culture in WCL. On this occasion, WCL was also recognised with the “Award for Excellence” for its outstanding digital initiatives. Under the leadership of Dr Hemant Sharad Pande, WCL has surged in digital governance, transparency, operational efficiency, and innovation. At the award ceremony, Dr Pande was accompanied by P G Choudhary, General Manager (Systems), Dr Shashi Shankar, Chief of Medical Services (CMS), and Nitin Gupta, Senior Manager (Systems), WCL.
