Nitin Gadkari, Union Minister, Road Transport and Highways, once again offered immediate relief to citizens during his public outreach programme “Janta Darbar” in Nagpur, held on Sunday, by issuing on-the-spot instructions to officials regarding civic grievances and complaints.
Considering the rising summer temperatures in Nagpur, the programme was held in the morning. Applications from citizens were accepted from 8.30 am, following which Gadkari personally heard complaints and assured action.Officials from the Nagpur Municipal Corporation, Nagpur Improvement Trust and District Collectorate were present during the programme.
Citizens had begun gathering outside the public relations office from as early as 7.30 am. Senior citizens, persons with disabilities, representatives of social and religious organisations, and students raised issues related to
examinations and results.Apart from Nagpur, citizens from Parbhani, Hingoli, Amravati, Akola, Solapur, Kolhapur, Indore, Balaghat and Jabalpur also attended. Several patients and relatives thanked Gadkari for assistance received through government healthcare schemes.
