Voting will be held under the ongoing general/by-elections of urban bodies and three-tier Panchayats in State on Monday. As per informed received from the State Election Commission, the voting will be held for 5 posts of Chairman and 71 posts of Councillors in the urban bodies. A total of 31,928 voters including 15,720 male voters, 16,207 female voters and 01 other voter will exercise their franchise in 96 polling stations in the urban bodies elections while a total of 10,2797 voters including 51,465 male voters, 51,331 female voters and 01 other voter will exercise their franchise in 274 polling stations set up for the election of 10 posts of Zila Panchayat members, 34 posts of Sarpanch and 107 posts of Ward Panch in the three-tier Panchayat elections.
 
Voting times for urban bodies are from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., and for three-tier panchayats, voting times are from 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Elections for urban bodies will be conducted through voting machines, while those for three-tier panchayats will be conducted through ballot papers. Under normal circumstances, after voting in the three-tier panchayats, the vote counting will also be completed on the spot. Counting for the urban body elections will take place on June 4, 2026, and tabulation and declaration of results for the three-tier panchayats will take place on June 4, 2026. Commissioner of Chhattisgarh State Election Commission Ajay Singh has expressed his full commitment to conducting peaceful, transparent, and fair elections. In the constituencies where contested elections are likely, the District Election Officer has ensured security and infrastructure. The State Election Commissioner has appealed to all voters in the constituency to exercise their franchise 100%.
