Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has pivoted its ongoing probe into the suspicious death of model-actress Twisha Sharma toward deep digital forensics. While the initial phases of the federal investigation heavily prioritised medical examinations regarding pregnancy and abortion allegations, detectives are now systematically dissecting mobile phones, laptops, and other electronic devices. Technical experts are working to recover deleted system logs and application data to establish a chronological sequence of events leading up to the tragedy. Highly placed sources within the agency indicate that the final digital communications sent by Sharma to her mother immediately before her death are being treated as vital prosecutorial evidence. Simultaneously, technical audits of the mobile devices seized from her husband, Samarth Singh, revealed that a significant volume of instant messaging threads and logs had been manually deleted prior to his arrest. Specialised forensic laboratories are currently using data recovery systems to reconstruct these missing files to expose potential cover-up attempts. Investigators are analysing retrieved call detail records, cloud backups, shared media galleries, and chat logs to understand the hostile circumstances surrounding Sharma prior to her demise.

By mapping her online footprints, the agency seeks to identify all individuals who were in active communication with her and document any sudden behavioural shifts or expressions of distress. This technical blueprint is expected to assist the prosecution in constructing a watertight chronological timeline. Following the receipt of the highly anticipated second post-mortem report and supplementary forensic evidence, the federal agency is preparing to initiate another round of intensive interrogations. To achieve this, the prosecution plans to present a formal application before the special CBI court, seeking a production warrant to retrieve former district judge Giribala Singh and her son, Samarth Singh, from Bhopal Central Jail. Investigators aim to place both undertrials under a second phase of active custodial remand to resolve emerging structural contradictions. The current phase of the federal investigation is dictated by five pivotal questions that investigators are trying to answer. First, the team is working to uncover the absolute truth and medical records behind the alleged forced abortion. Second, detectives are scrutinising CCTV footage from a beauty parlour she visited shortly before her death to understand her actions.

Third, the agency is exploring the rationale behind a train ticket to Ajmer booked in her name. Fourth, forensic teams are analysing physical discrepancies between the ligature material and the hanging site. Finally, the team is verifying whether she was subjected to domestic abuse and financial extortion over demands for dowry.
