The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leaders in the State are celebrating 12 years of the NDA Government under Prime Minister Narendra Modi, overwhelmed by the probability of winning all three Rajya Sabha seats in the State. On the other side, disappointed by the rejection, some Congress leaders moved to Delhi as the Opposition party decided to approach the Supreme Court in connection with the rejection of Congress Rajya Sabha candidate Meenakshi Natarajan’s nomination form. Earlier in the morning in Bhopal, Congress leaders were waiting in front of the Election Commission’s (EC) office to meet officials and lodge their complaint. They observed a one-day fast, terming Natarajan’s rejection as anti-constitutional. State Congress President Jitu Patwari extended his acknowledgement to their legislators for standing firmly with the party and for their resolution to support Natarajan. He said, “the unity of Congress legislators raised concerns among the BJP that their efforts to induce cross-voting would not be successful. This prompted the ruling party to play foul, resulting in the rejection of our candidate Natarajan’s form.” Meanwhile, enthusiasm was evident among BJP workers regarding the Rajya Sabha elections. At a poha-jalebi outlet in Lalghati, party workers celebrated the anticipated victory of the three BJP Rajya Sabha candidates by enjoying poha and jalebi.

Concurrently, Chief Minister Dr Mohan Yadav, State President Hemant Khandelwal, and others interacted with the public and conducted special prayer ceremonies at local temples. Chief Minister Dr Mohan Yadav participated in prayers and the recitation of the Hanuman Chalisa at the Gufa Mandir to mark the completion of 12 years of the NDA Government under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Bhopal MP Alok Sharma attributed the BJP’s success to the hard work of the party workers and the people’s faith in Modi’s leadership. Minister Vishvas Sarang offered a ceremonial mace on behalf of the Prime Minister; religious programmes organised across Narela constituency: To celebrate the completion of 12 years of governance, public welfare, and national service under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, a grand ‘Maha Aarti’ and a collective, musical rendition of the Hanuman Chalisa were organised on Wednesday. The event took place at Bhopal’s historic Shri Khedapati Hanuman Temple in Chhola, led by the Minister for Co-operatives, Sports, and Youth Welfare, Vishvas Kailash Sarang, alongside a large gathering of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) workers and devotees. During the religious ceremony, Minister Sarang offered a ceremonial mace (Gada) at the feet of Lord Khedapati Hanuman on behalf of Prime Minister Modi.

He extended prayers for the Prime Minister’s longevity, optimal health, and robust leadership, wishing him a successful and glorious future in the service of the nation. Reflecting on the milestone, Minister Sarang emphasised that India has witnessed unprecedented advancements under Prime Minister Modi’s stewardship over the last 12 years. He highlighted major strides across critical sectors, including national security, infrastructure development, economic self-reliance, digital innovation, and poverty alleviation. He noted that these achievements have firmly established India as a strong, self-confident, and decisive global power on the world stage. Minister Sarang announced that similar religious programmes, special prayers, and worship rituals were simultaneously organised across all major temples within the Narela assembly constituency. On the same day, another special program was organised at the Durga Mata Temple complex in Neelbad to celebrate Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s historic milestone as India’s longest-serving continuously elected Prime Minister.

Led by MLA Rameshwar Sharma, a collective recitation of the Hanuman Chalisa was held, with BJP State President Hemant Khandelwal attending as the chief guest alongside numerous farmers and party workers. To mark the occasion, local farmers crafted a grand, artistic rangoli using various grains. The display creatively depicted 12 major achievements from the 12 years of the Prime Minister’s governance, highlighting advancements in infrastructure, agriculture, women’s empowerment, and poverty alleviation. MLA Rameshwar Sharma noted that this landmark 4,399-day tenure symbolises dedication to the nation’s marginalized citizens. Meanwhile, State President Khandelwal emphasised that the milestone reflects the unwavering trust of 140 crore Indians. In a concurrent celebration, BJP Regional Organisation General Secretary Ajay Jamwal participated in an event at the Karunadham Ashram in Nehru Nagar. Accompanied by MLA Bhagwandas Sabnani and other senior leaders, Jamwal planted a sapling under the nationwide ‘Ek Ped Maa Ke Name’ campaign to honour the Prime Minister’s 12 years of public service.
