Madhya Pradesh is currently experiencing a dual weather pattern as active pre-monsoon systems and intense summer heat run parallel across the State. While rainfall and isolated thunderstorms brought respite to a few places in the Rewa division and isolated pockets within the Chambal, Jabalpur, Shahdol and Sagar divisions, this moisture-heavy activity has not completely subdued the summer peak, as dry conditions prevailed across the remaining divisions and an impact of heatwave conditions was observed in Khajuraho within the Chhatarpur.

Maximum temperature even saw an appreciable rise of 2.2 to 2.8 degrees Celsius in parts of the Chambal and Rewa divisions, while remaining steady and normal across the rest of the State.
