Athletes from the National Centre of Excellence (NCOE), Bhopal, delivered a spectacular performance on the international stage, anchoring India’s campaign at the Asian Canoe Sprint Junior and U-23 Championship 2026. Held in Turkestan, Kazakhstan, from June 4 to June 7, the continental tournament saw Bhopal’s paddlers consistently storm the podium, capturing four bronze medals across major junior and under-23 categories. Out of the 25-member Indian contingent that travelled to Kazakhstan, six athletes were from SAI NCOE Bhopal. The medal tally reflected their impact as absolute, driving India’s presence across multiple team events. The athletes demonstrated incredible synergy, stamina and skill across the 500-meter racing tracks. Tarun Dedha opened the charge by clinching the Bronze Medal in the Junior Men’s C2 500m evenL Neha Devi and Arvind Verma1t.

Travel turns economical to prominent cities like Mumbai, Hyderabad, Jaipur, Sri Ganganagar, Rishikesh, Rewa and Jabalpur as the Railway Board has decided to include 10 special trains passing through the Bhopal division into the regular category. Following this administrative decision, the special additional fare applicable to these trains will be completely abolished, providing passengers with a direct financial relief of up to 30 per cent on ticket rates. Passengers travelling from various stations, including Bhopal, Itarsi, Rani Kamalapati, Sant Hirdaram Nagar, Narmadapuram, Bina and Harda will directly benefit from this decision.
The regularisation of some key trains on this list is yet to take effect from the upcoming month of July, while several major trains have already been converted into the regular category in the previous months.
Special trains to be regularised
According to the schedule of the trains to be regularised in the coming days, special train number 07363 on the Hubli-Rishikesh route will be regularised as regular train number 17363 (HUBLI–YNRK) from 06.07.2026, and special train number 07364 will be regularised as regular train number 17364 (YNRK–HUBLI) from 09.07.2026. These trains will operate via Itarsi (ET), Bina (BINA), and Rani Kamalapati (RKMP) stations. Similarly, on the Kachiguda-Sri Ganganagar route, special train number 07053 will be regularised as regular train number 17601 (KCG–SGNR) from 25.07.2026, and special train number 07054 will be regularised as regular train number 17602 (SGNR–KCG) from 28.07.2026, with scheduled halts at Harda (HD), Itarsi (ET), and Bhopal (BPL) stations. Along with this, special train number 07019 on the Hyderabad-Jaipur route will be converted into regular train number 17079 (HYD-JP) from 24.07.2026, and special train
number 07020 will be converted into regular train number 17980 (JP-HYD) from 26.07.2026. Both these trains will operate via Itarsi (ET), Bhopal (BPL), and Sant Hirdaram Nagar (SHRN) stations.
Trains already regularised
On the other hand, among the trains that have already been regularised under this decision, special train number 02187 operating on the Mumbai-Rewa route has been converted into regular train number 20153 (CSMT-REWA) since 24.04.2026, and special train number 02188 has been converted into regular train number 20154 (REWA-CSMT) since 23.04.2026. These trains are currently running via Itarsi (ET) station. Additionally, special train number 02133 operating on the Bandra Terminus-Jabalpur route has been running as regular train number 20163 (BDTS-JBP) since 30.05.2026, and special train number 02134 has been operating as regular train number 20164 (JBP-BDTS) since 29.05.2026. This train service stops at Itarsi (ET), Narmadapuram (NDPM), Bhopal (BPL), and Sant Hirdaram Nagar (SHRN) stations on its way to the destination. When ‘The Hitavada’ team spoke to Naval Agrawal, PRO of Bhopal Division regarding this matter, he stated that the Railways has regularised these 10 special trains, which will reduce passenger fares by up to 30 per cent. He further added that the regularisation of these trains will now provide immense ease and convenience to rail passengers travelling on all these routes.
