Intermittent pre-monsoon showers across the city on Saturday brought much-needed relief for the citizens from the scorching heat. The city’s maximum temperature dropped sharply to 38.2 degrees Celsius from 41 degrees Celsius recorded a day earlier. Several parts of the city recorded showers in multiple spells throughout the day, resulting in cooler weather and overcast skies. According to official weather data, the city recorded 5 mm of rainfall till 5.30 pm on Saturday. The city recorded 32 mm rainfall in last 24 hours.
