Preparations for upcoming 36th Convocation Ceremony at Rani Durgavati University (RDVV), Jabalpur, are going on at war footing. In connection with the prestigious event, Vice-Chancellor, Professor Rajesh Kumar Verma, reached Bhopal on Saturday to present official invitation to Chief Minister Dr Mohan Yadav. During the briefing, Vice-Chancellor Professor Verma provided a detailed update on the ongoing administrative and logistical arrangements. Chief Minister Dr Yadav extended his congratulations in advance for the successful execution of the ceremony and formally confirmed his attendance. The upcoming convocation marks a major historical milestone for the institution, as it prepares to welcome the President of India to the campus after a span of around 20 years.

To ensure strict adherence to protocol and security measures, the university administration is in continuous coordination with Rashtrapati Bhavan in New Delhi, Lok Bhavan in Bhopal and local civil authorities. The ceremony will be presided over by the Governor, Mangubhai Patel. In addition to the President, the event will feature Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav, Higher Education Minister Shri Inder Singh Parmar and Director, Madhya Pradesh Hindi Granth Academy, Dr Ashok Kadel, as special guests.

University Registrar Professor Ravi Shankar Sonwal announced that the convocation is officially scheduled for June 21. In light of the extensive preparations and security protocols required, the university’s administrative building and academic teaching departments will remain open during official holidays, including Saturdays and Sundays, leading up to the event. Furthermore, standard leaves have been restricted; time-off will only be granted under critical or unavoidable circumstances, subject to the explicit approval of the Vice-Chancellor.
