THE final between Bharat Rangers and
Pagariya Strikers was a ‘full house’ with maximum seats occupied for the men’s final. Over
30,000 spectators got an opportunity to witness the summit clash. VCA had made free
entry for spectators for second year in succession. They also made it easy for spectators
coming from city to Jamtha Stadium by providing free bus services.
The women’s final, which was won by India
Warriors earlier in the day, too witnessed good
number of spectators but as the men’s summit clash got under way, fans started making
a beeline to grab the best seats. As sixes flew
from the blades of batters, the lower tiers get
filled to the brim forcing VCA to open the upper
tiers of East and West stands. Those seats too
were occupied by the cricket lovers of the city.
A laser show during mid-innings break
entertained the crowd who flashed the torch
light from their mobile phones making VPL
Season 2 a grand success!
