As part of BJP’s nationwide programme to mark completion of 12 years of Prime Minister Narendra Modi in office, Deputy Chief Minister to the State, Vijay Sharma on Sunday held a press conference in Circuit House at Durg and highlighted the key achievements made during the PM’s tenure.
While terming his tenure as both golden and historic, the Deputy CM said that the period was marked by rapid development, public welfare, cultural awakening and national pride. ‘The PM sees himself as Pradhan Sevak and with the motto of ‘Sabka Sath, Sabka Vikas,
Sabka Vishwas and Sabka Prayas, he is serving 140 crore people, stated Sharma.
The Deputy CM particularly mentioned schemes like Jan Dhan, Ayushman Bharat, Pradhan Mantri Awas, Swachh Bharat Mission, PM SVANidhi, Mudra and PM Vishwakarma while saying that crores of people have received their benefits.
He also termed Kisan Samman Nidhi and Kisan Credit Card important. Along with it, he said that special provisions in the budget have been made for development of tribal people while schemes are also being
run for welfare of women and middle class. He also said that India is expanding its global footprint speedily.
In connection to Chhattisgarh, the Deputy CM said that houses under Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana are being constructed rapidly here while the development has also been augmented through railway, agricultural loan and Udaan scheme. Durg (Rural) MLA Lalit Chandrakar and office bearers of the BJP were present during the press briefing with the Deputy CM.
