The resolve to build a developed India will be fulfilled with everyone’s cooperation, said Union Minister of State for Commerce, Industry and IT Jitin Prasada on Sunday, while addressing ‘Viksit Bharat Sankalp Sammelan’ at BJP divisional office. The programme was organised under the series of events marking 12 years of the Modi government. Prasada said the Viksit Bharat 2047 vision is not just the Prime Minister’s resolve, but the pledge of 140 crore citizens. He said every section of society must play an active role to achieve it. He said the 12-year development journey is not just achievements of the government, but a roadmap for a developed India. Minister Prasada said Prime Minister Modi has given India new direction and new energy over the past 12 years. The world is facing difficult and uncertain conditions, but India remains stable and capable of facing any crisis. He said this has been possible because of a stable, full-majority government under Modi’s leadership, backed by public support. Prasada said the foundation being laid today will shape the next 20 years. Developed countries that earlier did not want to engage with India or buy Indian goods are now signing agreements with India. He said India is now selling world-class products to the world. India's population of 140 crore was once seen as a burden, but the situation has changed. He said people's living standards are improving and India has become the world's largest market.

He said under Modi's leadership, India has moved towards global leadership over the past 12 years and the country's standing in the world has grown. State PWD Minister Rakesh Singh said the empowerment of farmers, poor, youth and women remains the government's top priority. He said central schemes have played a major role in lifting crores of people out of poverty. Singh said when India became independent, people had many hopes and dreams. The country's elders never imagined the struggles that lay ahead after independence. He said India's global standing had slipped over the years, but people's hopes were finally fulfilled in 2014, when Narendra Modi took oath as Prime Minister. He said the Congress ruled the country for nearly 55 to 60 years. If there had been the will, those governments could have changed the country, but the poor, women, youth, farmers and common people kept waiting for someone who would move the country forward and understand their struggles. He said that wait ended when the BJP government was formed under Modi's leadership. He said when India's history is written in future, the country's rise will be counted from 2014. A number of senior party leaders including MP Ashish Dubey, Rajya Sabha MP Sumitra Valmiki, District President Ratnesh Sonkar, District in-charge Alok Sanjar, Mayor Jagat Bahadur Singh, MLA Ashok Rohani State spokesperson Dr Vani Ahluwalia, Dr Jitendra Jamdar and others.
