Raja Bhoj Airport organised a grand ceremony on Monday to mark Passenger Convenience Day, emphasising safety, technical management, and daily operational excellence. During the event, Bhopal Member of Parliament Alok Sharma and Mayor Malti Rai felicitated female officers and personnel working across the Airports Authority of India (AAI), various commercial airlines, and the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) for their outstanding service. Additionally, the airport administration presented special commendations to the housekeeping staff, recognised as sanitation champions, for their round-the-clock efforts in maintaining pristine cleanliness across the entire terminal complex. High-tech touch-free public amenities unveiled at parking zone: Addressing a long-standing demand of passengers, visitors, and commercial drivers, a completely renovated city-side restroom facility was officially inaugurated in the airport car parking zone.
MP Alok Sharma and Mayor Malti Rai jointly opened the modern public utility, which features state-of-the-art sensor-based touch-free fixtures. This advanced infrastructure is engineered to minimise water wastage while establishing a highly hygienic, infection-free environment, underscoring the airport’s commitment to implementing world-class municipal and transit facilities.
Reflecting the rich heritage of Indian hospitality, the airport administration organised a unique welcome for air travellers entering the terminal building. Staff members greeted both domestic and international passengers with a traditional forehead mark, eliciting highly positive responses from the visitors. Concurrently, senior airport managers interacted directly with passengers to gather real-time feedback on transit facilities, with travellers sharing their suggestions through both digital portals and physical feedback logs to assist in continuous service improvement.
