Ramtek Police have registered a case against the owner of a lodge for allegedly running a prostitution racket from his premises. During the police action, one woman was rescued and property worth over Rs 21,000 was seized. According to police, Ramtek Police received specific information that illegal prostitution activities were being conducted at King Restaurant and Lodging in Ramtek. Acting on the tip-off, a police team conducted a raid at the lodge. During the operation, police detained Vishal Prakashsingh Solanki (45), a resident of Azad Ward, Ramtek. Preliminary inquiry revealed that he was the owner of the lodge. Police inspected the premises in the presence of witnesses and found a woman in Room No. 1.
 
During questioning, the woman allegedly told police that Solanki had lured her with money and arranged prostitution activities at the lodge for financial gain. She further stated that the accused had provided the premises and compelled her to engage in the sex trade. The woman was immediately rescued by the police and shifted to a safe place. During the raid, police seized mobile phone, cash and other items connected with the case. Based on the findings, Ramtek Police registered a case against Vishal Prakashsingh Solanki under Sections 3, 4, 5 and 7 of the Immoral Traffic (Prevention) Act. Further probe is on.
