The district administration has finalised high-level arrangements to ensure a completely seamless, transparent, and hassle-free conduct of the rescheduled National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET-UG) 2026. The district administration and Police Department are working in close, continuous coordination to eliminate any vulnerabilities during the examination process.
The rescheduled NEET exam is going to conducted on June 21 between 2 pm and 5.15 pm. The duration of examination will be 3 hours and 15 minutes and it will be conducted offline mode. Collector Raghavendra Singh informed that the exam will be carried out in 283 centres across 30 major districts in the State including 24 centres in Jabalpur district.
Superintendent of Police, Sampat Upadhyay informed that the two-tier security arrangements will be available to avoid any untoward incident during exam.
The outer layer will be handled entirely by the State Police and Home Guards. An Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI) level officer will be stationed at every single venue, complemented by Sector and Duty Magistrates while the inner layer will be managed securely by the specialized agency appointed by National Testing Agency (NTA).
Meticulous roll number verification protocols will be enforced at the entry points. To respect candidate privacy and security, completely separate frisking enclosures will be set up for female students, heavily staffed by female police personnel.
Superintendent of Police, Sampat Upadhyay informed that special bus service will be available for high-volume centres including Navoday Vidyalay, Bargi and Mangeli.
As the exam date is coincide with the arrival date of the President Droupadi Murmu in Jabalpur, special arrangements will be made to avoid any kind of inconvenience for the aspirants and their parents. NTA team will arrive in the city soon to review the arrangements and consduct the examination.
The district administration has also appointed nodal officers to fluently operate the proceedings of examination.
Large shaded tents, drinking water and others facilities will be available at all the centers to ensure guardians accompanying the candidates face no discomfort during the 3-hour long stretch.
