titles as it was curtains on the
Baidyanath Yonex-Sunrise
Nagpur District Badminton
Championship 2026 held at
RTMNU’s Subhedar Hall, Ravi
Nagar on Wednesday.
The men’s singles title was won
by Ameya Naktode who beat top
seed Rohan Singh 15-13, 15-12
while the women’s crown was
secured by Ditisha Somkuwar
who defeated Niraja Kulkarni
15-9, 15-13.
Sajwan claimed the boys
Under-19 title defeating Aarav
Thakre 15-6, 15-9. He then paired
with Pranay Gadewar to claim the
men’s doubles title ousting
Aaryan Sadhankar and Gaurav
Rege 15-10, 15-12 .
Sanvi Ghate won the girls U17 singles title defeating Vridhi
Bang 15-7, 15-9 and then doubled her joy by winning the
Under-19 singles title with a
15-13, 15-10 win over Grishma
Kaishalwar.
DevanshThaokar also won the
twin titles claiming the boys
Under-15 crown with a 15-11,
15-6 win over Arnav Gupta and
the boys Under-17 trophy by
beating top seed Aarav Thakre
12-15, 15-7, 15-8.
Grishma Kaishalwar and Sara
Peshkar claimed the Under-17
girls doubles title after they beat
the pair of Advaiya Sathe and
Aradhya Gupta 15-7, 15-7.
Aarav Thakreand Ojas
Deshmukh defeated Mayank
Mishra and Zeeshan Khan 12-15,
15-9, 15-11 to emerge Under-17
boys doubles champions.
