AHEAD of President Droupadi Murmu’s upcoming two-day visit to Jabalpur on June 20 and 21, tight security measures have been put in place. To ensure maximum safety, Superintendent of Police (SP) Sampat Upadhyay has issued an official order designating a 15-kilometer radius around all scheduled event venues and transit routes as a strict ‘NoFly Zone and ‘Red Zone’. The high-security restrictions will cover several key locations across the city, including Dumna Airport, Garrison Ground, Circuit House No. 1, MES Rest House, Rani Durgavati University (RDU) and the entire 15-km movement corridor connecting Dumna Airport to the Garrison Ground.

According to the official directive, restrictions will come into effect from 10 am on June 20 and will remain strictly enforced until 10 pm on June 21. During this 36-hour window, operation of drones, paragliders, hot air balloons, or any other type of private flying objects is completely banned within the designated areas. Local administration has warned that any violation of this security order will be met with immediate and strict legal action. Violators will face severe prosecution under ‘Aircraft Act of 1934’ alongside other relevant sections of the law.
