Social Media is useful in many a way,
But it’s changing the world day by day.
It should be our tool, not destination,
Yet it has erased warmth of human relation.
Instagram posts have become our clue
To decide what is popular and true.
Snapchat streaks have become connection,
Replacing real friendship
and genuine affection.
Filters have become the mask of beauty,
Making us forget the value of simplicity.
Once people talked heart-to-heart,
No screen and signals kept them apart.
Sentiments were attached to people we knew,
Now they are linked to likes and views.
Hours are spent scrolling day and night,
And real conversations fade from sight.
Today we know every viral name,
But the camaraderie is not the same.
That’s how people live in this generation,
Slowly forgetting the value of
human relations.
