The Vidarbha Economic Development Council (VED Council) concluded its 2026 annual general meeting (AGM) at Chitnavis Centre on Monday wherein the members unanimously extended the term of Rina Sinha as the president of the body. Sinha will further lead the body for next two years.
On the occasion, Sinha expanded her executive team by introducing fresh faces to the committee including Aruun Hazare, Rita Dhodapkar, Poonam Dhanwatey, Rajiv Chand, Tavinder Singh Rawal, and Akshay Rohera. Moving forward, this expanded team of Executive Committee which is President Rina Sinha, Founder and Past President Vilas Kale, Founder Govind Daga, Past President Devendra Parekh, Past President Shivkumar Rao, Vice Presidents Pankaj Mahajan, B K Shukla and Rahul Upganlawar, Treasurer Varun Vijaywargi, Secretary General Aliasger Wagh, Joint Secretary Dinesh Naidu, Amit Yenulkar and Aatish Jindal and executive members Ashish Sharma, Atul Tajpuriya, Dr Tejinder Singh Rawal, Narayan Gupta, Navin Malewar,
Navin Mithal, Nidhi Gandhi, Pramod Batraa.
Earlier, in his opening remarks, Founder and Past President Vilas Kale shared his foundational insights and long-term vision for transforming Vidarbha’s economy.
In her address, Sinha thanked Union Minister Nitin Gadkari and Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis for their continued patronage and support.
Highlighting the council’s excellent financial health, Treasurer Varun Vijaywargi presented the annual accounts, which were unanimously adopted by the house after being proposed by Shivkumar Rao and seconded by Narayan Gupta.

Secretary General Aliasger Wagh proposed the formal vote of thanks.
