A 40-YEAR-OLD man was killed
after being hit by a speeding
truck near Guru Kripa Petrol
Pump under the jurisdiction of
Shahpura police station on
Tuesday night.
According to Shahpura
police, receiving the information of a road accident near
Guru Kripa Petrol Pump, police
reached the spot where a man
named Surendra Thakur (32),
a resident of Choukital,
informed that he, along with
his relatives Rajesh Gaur and
Anil Gaur, went to Bilpathar on
a motorcycle (MP-20NM-6113)
for tile and marble work. After
completing their work, the
three were returning to their village, Natwara.
Surendra was riding the
motorcycle, Rajesh Gaur was
seated in the middle and Anil
Gaur was riding pillion. When
they reached near Guru Kripa
Petrol Pump in Shahpura, a
truck (MP-20ZN-9638), coming from Natwara side, hit their
motorcycle while being driven
at high speed and in a negligent manner.
The impact threw the riders
off the motorcycle and the truck
ran over Anil Gaur, causing
severe head injuries. Anil succumbed to his grave injuries on
the spot of accident.
Following the accident, the
truck driver abandoned the
vehicle and escaped from the
spot. Acting on the complaint,
Shahpura police have registered a case under Sections 281,
125(A) and 106(1) of BNS and
started investigation to identify and apprehend the accused
truck driver.
