CHIEF Minister Vishnu Deo Sai
paid a courtesy visit to Union
Minister for Health and Family
Welfare and Chemicals and
Fertilisers J P Nadda, at his residence in New Delhi today. During
the meeting, the two leaders held
detailed and constructive discussions on a range of departmental and current issues, with
a particular focus on public
health, healthcare infrastructure,
and developments in the pharmaceutical and fertiliser sectors.
Chief Minister Sai informed
the Union Minister that the state
government is consistently working to expand and strengthen
healthcare services across
Chhattisgarh. Efforts are underway to enhance hospitals, medical colleges, and other healthcare institutions to ensure the
availability of quality medical
services in remote, rural, and
tribal regions. He further stated that the government is committed to providing citizens with
access to advanced healthcare facilities and
quality medical treatment within the state itself.
While discussing matters related to the agriculture and fertilizer sectors, the chief minister informed that clear instructions have been
issued to the authorities to ensure the adequate
and timely availability of fertilizers and seeds
for farmers in the state.
The government is ensuring that farmers do not face any difficulties
and that the supply of essential agricultural
inputs remains smooth throughout the Kharif
season.
Sai mentioned that officials have been
instructed to maintain constant vigilance over
the fertilizer distribution system and to adopt
a zero-tolerance policy towards black marketing, hoarding, or negligence. Additionally, directives have been issued to launch village-level
campaigns to connect farmers with modern
agricultural techniques and encourage them
to adopt new technologies. He also informed
the Union Minister that the state government
is promoting the use of Nano Urea and Nano
DAP. Extensive awareness campaigns are being
conducted to educate farmers about the benefits of these products, aiming to boost agricultural productivity, reduce costs, and make
farming more profitable.
The Chief Minister stated that the
Chhattisgarh government, with the full cooperation of the Government of India, is continuously striving to give new momentum to
development in the sectors of health, agriculture, and public welfare. Coordination between
the Centre and the State is being further
strengthened to ensure the state’s holistic development. Union Minister J P Nadda appreciated the expansion of health services in
Chhattisgarh, the measures being taken in the
interest of farmers, and the efforts being made
for public welfare. He assured all possible support from the Central Government in the health
sector and other areas of development.
