Solar Defence and Aerospace Limited, Shiva–Sawanga recently organised a 10-day summer camp for children from nearby villages. The camp featured engaging activities such as cultural programmes, arts, and competitions, providing a fun and vibrant learning environment. Through these activities, children were encouraged to express themselves freely and explore their creativity. The camp helped them build confidence, develop teamwork, and uncover their hidden talents, making it a joyful and enriching experience for all participants. The closing ceremony of the camp was recently held at Shiva Zilla Parishad School and Gram Panchayat premises. A total of 170 students enthusiastically participated in this camp.

 

The successful execution of the camp was made possible through the cooperation of the company’s senior officers, the Sarpanch, Gram Panchayat members, Gramsevak, and the villagers. At the closing ceremony, distinguished guests included Major General Vasudesh Arya, Executive Director; Rear Admiral Brijesh Vashisht, Director – Safety & Quality; Someshwar Mundhada, Senior General Manager; Ashish Khole, Group HR Head; M K Singh, Senior General Manager – HR; Pradip Raut, General Manager, HR; Rekha Gawande, Sarpanch – Shiva; Bhagyashree Bhajikhaye, Sarpanch – Sawanga; Meenakshi Bhalavi, Sarpanch – Digdoh (Pande); Asha Kalbande, Sarpanch – Deoli (Kalbande); Liladhar Barange, Gramsevak – Shiva; company officials, villagers, students, and parents. On the occasion, SDAL distributed saplings to 200 children and parents, encouraging them to plant at home as a symbol of environmental conservation. School bags were also distributed before bidding farewell to all participants.
