The Nagpur Branch Office of Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) organised ‘Manak Manthan’ on IS 2026 (Part 1): 2025 – Structural Steel, Part 1: Hot Rolled Medium and High Tensile Structural Steel recently at Hardeo Hotel, Nagpur. The programme focused on discussions regarding the revised provisions, technical requirements, and mandatory implementation of the standard before 29 June 2026.

 

Representatives from industry, technical experts, and stakeholders actively participated in the deliberations and shared valuable inputs regarding effective implementation and compliance with the revised Indian Standard. The session concluded with fruitful discussions emphasizing the importance of quality, safety, and timely adoption of Indian Standards in structural steel products. The meeting concluded under the guidance of Dr Manoj Kumar Rajak, Director and Head, BIS Nagpur Branch office.
