RSS Sarsanghchalak Dr Mohan Bhagwat said world today needs India’s inclusive and holistic worldview

Emphasising the growing relevance of India’s civilisational values in a changing global order, Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) Sarsanghchalak Dr Mohan Bhagwat on Thursday said that the world today needs India’s inclusive and holistic worldview, and that an organised society is essential for the nation’s rise. Dr Bhagwat was delivering keynote address during the valedictory function of Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh’s (RSS) Karyakarta Vikas Varg – Dwitiya at Reshimbag. Padma Bhushan awardee Kumar Mangalam Birla was the chief guest. Vidarbha Prant Sanghchalak Deepak Tamshettiwar, Sarvadhikari Sardar Mahendra Singh Maggo and Nagpur Mahanagar Sanghchalak Rajesh Loya were seated on the dais.

Addressing the valedictory function of an RSS training camp held as part of the organisation’s centenary year celebrations, Dr Bhagwat said, “RSS doesn’t work for credit, it keeps doing the work of upliftment of the society. If history forgets RSS’s contribution, then let it be, but society must get the due credit A sense of responsibility and cultural awakening is increasingly visible among the people of India. Society is becoming more conscious of its duties and is preparing itself to contribute to national development. RSS seeks to create an environment where individuals rise above personal interests and divisions to work for the nation.

The organisation has spent the last hundred years nurturing individuals committed to selfless service and nation-building.” Referring to ongoing global conflicts, Dr Bhagwat noted that even countries not directly involved in wars are suffering consequences, including rising fuel prices and economic disruptions. In such a scenario, he said, the world lacks a unifying philosophy capable of bringing people together.” “People should not remain mere spectators. Whether through direct involvement in RSS’ activities or through selfless service, every individual can contribute to the larger national cause,” Dr Bhagwat appealed.

‘RSS always stood by the society, nation’
Kumar Mangalam Birla praised the Sangh’s century-long contribution to society and nation-building, saying the RSS had stood with the nation through wars, natural disasters, pandemics and other challenges while continuing to inspire confidence in India’s future. “I have had several opportunities to meet Dr Bhagwat, and each interaction has been deeply inspirational. There is clarity and conviction in his thoughts, and they inspire one towards nation-building and selfless service to the country. Anyone who observes this vast organisation cannot remain untouched by its impact,” said Birla. “Over the last three years, wars have caused crude oil prices to rise sharply, fall, and rise again. Global supply chains have come under stress repeatedly. Now, the AI revolution is emerging, likely to transform economies more profoundly than any recent technological innovation. These global shifts present challenges, especially at a time when Bharat is beginning its Amrit Kaal,” stated Birla.
