LakhnAdaUn Congress MLA Yogendra Singh Baba had a narrow escape after his car crashed into a wall and caught fire while its driver was trying to avoid hitting a cow on the road. He was returning from Jabalpur to Ghurwara, his home village in Seoni district. There were three people in the car at the time of the accident, including MLA Yogendra Singh Baba, his gunman Raju Dhurve and driver Annu. Locals helped rescuing them. The incident took place near Banjari village on National Highway-44 under Dhuma police station while returning from Jabalpur to Ghurwara village on Thursday afternoon. The car collided with the boundary wall of the roadside school in an attempt to save a cow and then caught fire.
 
The car was locked from inside due to the accident, but with the help of locals, the MLA, gunman and driver were pulled out safely in time. They were immediately brought to Lakhnadaun Hospital where they were discharged after first-aid. The driver got stitches on his face. The MLA and the gunman sustained minor injuries. The accident took place on Thursday morning in front of Banjari High School Herbal Garden of Dhuma police station on Jabalpur road. The MLA’s car was completely gutted in the accident. The MLA is completely safe and suffered only minor injuries. Meanwhile, Annu, the driver, has stitches on his face. After receiving the information, Dhuma police reached the spot and took stock of the situation. Locals also tried to extinguish the fire. Police removed the vehicle from the road and restored traffic.
